Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Civil Engineer to focus on water infrastructure projects in Upington . This role involves the design, planning, and management of systems related to water supply, distribution, and treatment. You will contribute to ensuring reliable access to clean water for communities in the Northern Cape region. The ideal candidate has a solid background in water engineering principles, project management skills, and a commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

• Design and engineer water reticulation networks, pump stations, and storage facilities.
• Prepare feasibility studies, preliminary designs, and detailed design documents for water infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the construction and commissioning of water treatment plants and distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with water quality standards, environmental regulations, and relevant engineering codes.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders in Upington .

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization in water engineering.
• Professional registration (PrEng) with ECSA is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and CAD applications .
• Experience with project management principles and contract administration.
