About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Integration Engineer to join their innovative team in Upington . This role is central to ensuring that various mechanical components and subsystems work together seamlessly to form a cohesive and functional final product. You will be involved in the planning, execution, and validation of mechanical integration activities, working closely with design, manufacturing, and testing departments.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of mechanical principles and a proven ability to solve complex integration challenges in a hands-on environment.

• Plan and execute the integration of mechanical subsystems into larger systems, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
• Develop integration plans, procedures, and documentation for mechanical systems.
• Conduct integration testing and validation to verify system functionality and performance requirements.
• Identify and resolve mechanical integration issues, including interference, alignment, and interface problems.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and control engineers to ensure seamless system assembly and operation.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly phases, troubleshooting integration challenges.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on systems integration.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly processes, tolerances, and materials.
• Experience with CAD software for evaluating fitment and clearances.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and data analysis for validating system performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Upington.
