Industrial Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanical Engineer to support their manufacturing operations in Upington, Northern Cape . This role focuses on improving the efficiency, safety, and reliability of industrial machinery and production processes. You will be involved in troubleshooting equipment failures, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the optimal performance of plant machinery. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industrial systems, maintenance practices, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges within a manufacturing setting.

• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical issues within the manufacturing plant, identifying root causes of problems.
• Implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance plans for critical assets.
• Ensure all mechanical operations comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with production teams and management to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery , automation systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with maintenance planning and execution.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
