Civil Engineer - Roads and Stormwater Management

About the Role

Our client is looking for a competent Civil Engineer with a focus on roads and stormwater management to join their team in Mahikeng, North West . This role will involve the design, planning, and implementation of critical road infrastructure and effective stormwater systems to support the region's development. • Design and develop road infrastructure, including geometric design, pavement design, and intersection layouts.
• Design and implement effective stormwater management systems, including culverts, channels, and detention ponds.
• Conduct hydrological studies and hydraulic modeling for stormwater systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Oversee site supervision and ensure construction quality aligns with design standards.
• Collaborate with environmental specialists and town planners on integrated development projects.

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in road design and stormwater management.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and stormwater modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM).
• Knowledge of South African road standards (e.g., CSRA) and environmental impact assessments.
• Experience in site investigations and data analysis.
• Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
