About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Research Engineer specializing in Nanotechnology to join their innovative research and development team in Upington . This role focuses on the design, fabrication, and characterization of nanoscale materials and devices for advanced applications. You will work with cutting-edge equipment to develop novel nanostructures, evaluate their properties, and contribute to the integration of these technologies into functional prototypes.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong engineering or physics background with practical experience in nanofabrication and characterization techniques, eager to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in a collaborative and technologically rich environment.
- Design and fabricate nanoscale materials and devices using techniques such as lithography and thin-film deposition.
- Characterize the structural, electrical, and optical properties of nanomaterials using advanced microscopy and spectroscopy.
- Develop and optimize fabrication processes for reproducibility and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate nanotechnology solutions into product development.
- Analyze experimental data and prepare detailed technical reports and presentations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in nanotechnology research and development.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Nanotechnology , Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with nanofabrication techniques (e.g., e-beam lithography, sputtering, CVD).
- Proficiency in operating and interpreting data from characterization tools (e.g., SEM, TEM, AFM, XRD).
- Strong understanding of the physics and chemistry of nanomaterials.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Experience with CAD tools for device design is a plus.
