Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Process Engineer with extensive experience in the petrochemical sector to join their established team in Upington . This role is pivotal in driving process optimization, ensuring operational excellence, and implementing innovative solutions within a large-scale petrochemical facility. You will be responsible for managing complex process improvement projects, troubleshooting critical operational issues, and mentoring junior engineers.

• Lead and execute complex process optimization projects to enhance yield, reduce costs, and improve energy efficiency.
• Perform detailed process design, simulation, and analysis for unit operations within a petrochemical context.
• Troubleshoot and resolve challenging operational problems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• Develop and implement advanced process control strategies to improve plant stability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with stringent safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations specific to the petrochemical industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in process engineering, with significant specialization in the petrochemical industry.
• Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) and advanced process control (APC) techniques.
• Proven track record of managing major process improvement projects from conception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of petrochemical unit operations, safety management systems (PSM), and environmental regulations.
