Sustainable Design Consultant

Our client is seeking an innovative and knowledgeable Sustainable Design Consultant to enhance their architectural projects in the Upington, Northern Cape region and beyond. This role is dedicated to integrating environmentally responsible design strategies and technologies into buildings, focusing on energy efficiency, material selection, water conservation, and occupant well-being. You will play a key role in advising design teams and clients on achieving high standards of sustainability, contributing to greener built environments in a region known for its unique climate and resource considerations.

• Advise architectural teams and clients on sustainable design strategies and best practices.
• Conduct energy modeling and environmental performance analysis for buildings.
• Research and recommend sustainable materials, systems, and technologies.
• Assist in achieving green building certifications (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED).
• Develop reports and documentation outlining sustainability goals and achievements for projects in Upington .
• Stay current with advances in green building technologies and regulations.

• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sustainable design principles and practices.
• Knowledge of green building rating systems and performance simulation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to environmental design.
