Our client, a significant player in the Oil & Gas industry, is looking for a proficient Senior Subsurface Engineer to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape . This critical role involves integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data to develop comprehensive subsurface models and optimize hydrocarbon recovery strategies. You will contribute to field development planning, reservoir characterization, and production optimization efforts.
Working within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, you will play a key role in maximizing the value of the company's assets. - Integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to create detailed subsurface models .
- Conduct reservoir performance analysis, identify drainage opportunities, and recommend enhanced recovery methods.
- Develop and update field development plans, production forecasts, and economic evaluations.
- Collaborate with drilling and production teams to ensure effective well planning and execution.
- Utilize advanced software for reservoir simulation, geostatistics, and data analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on subsurface challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, or a related Earth Science field;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsurface engineering or reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation, well test analysis, and production data analysis.
- Expertise in geological and petrophysical data interpretation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
