Chemical Engineer - Product Introduction

Our client is seeking a driven Chemical Engineer to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts for their chemical manufacturing division in Upington . This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless transition of new products from development to commercial-scale production. You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to define process requirements, troubleshoot scale-up challenges, and establish robust manufacturing protocols.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent project management skills and a deep understanding of chemical processes, dedicated to bringing innovative chemical solutions to market efficiently and effectively.

• Oversee the process development and scale-up for new chemical products.
• Collaborate with R&D to transfer laboratory processes to pilot and commercial scale.
• Develop manufacturing procedures, batch records, and quality control plans.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks during the NPI phase.
• Train manufacturing personnel on new product processes and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process development, or NPI.
• Proven experience in scaling up chemical processes.
