Renewable Energy Systems Engineer

Our client is seeking a qualified Renewable Energy Systems Engineer to join their team in Upington . This role involves the design, integration, and optimization of renewable energy systems, including solar PV, battery storage, and hybrid solutions. You will work on diverse projects, ensuring systems are efficient, reliable, and meet client specifications. • Design and engineer renewable energy systems, including sizing of components like solar panels, inverters, and battery storage.
• Develop system schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Perform energy yield assessments and system performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to renewable energy system performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in the design and engineering of renewable energy systems , particularly solar PV and battery storage.
• Proficiency with relevant design software and simulation tools (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of power electronics, grid-tied and off-grid systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
