Project Manager - Renewable Energy Initiatives

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies and site assessments to construction and operational handover. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management principles, coupled with expertise in the renewable energy field, particularly solar and wind power.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Manage project procurement and contract administration with vendors and service providers.
• Conduct site visits and technical assessments as required by the hybrid work model.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.

• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, or hydro).
• Proven track record of managing projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project life cycles, and relevant South African regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office-based and remote tasks.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
