Aircraft Systems Integrator - Advanced Avionics

Our client, a pioneer in advanced aerospace technology, is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Systems Integrator specializing in advanced avionics to join their engineering team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role is pivotal in the successful integration of complex avionics and electronic systems into new and existing aircraft platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless interoperability between various systems, adhering to stringent design requirements and safety standards.

• Lead the integration of complex avionics suites, including communication, navigation, surveillance, and mission systems.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and interface control documents (ICDs).
• Perform system-level design, analysis, and trade studies for avionics components and subsystems.
• Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Plan and execute system integration testing, validation, and verification activities.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and develop effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, such as DO-160, DO-178C, and DO-254.
• Interface with suppliers and external partners for system components.
• Document integration processes, test results, and system performance.
• Support the certification process for integrated avionics systems.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems integration, with a strong emphasis on avionics.
• In-depth knowledge of avionics architectures, communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, 708, Ethernet), and signal processing.
• Proven experience with systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., requirements management, model-based systems engineering).
• Familiarity with aircraft certification standards and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with simulation and test environments is highly desirable.
• Must be eligible to work in South Africa .
