Junior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and analytical Junior Financial Analyst to join their finance team in Upington. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to contribute to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. You will support senior analysts and management by gathering data, preparing reports, and assisting in the development of financial models. Working within a hybrid model, you'll gain broad exposure to various financial functions and contribute to strategic decision-making processes within the Northern Cape region.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances from actual performance.
• Support the collection and analysis of financial data for reporting purposes.
• Help develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as required to support specific business initiatives.
• Assist in ensuring data integrity and accuracy within financial systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
