Tax Specialist

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join their finance team in Upington. This role is responsible for managing the company's tax compliance, planning, and advisory functions. You will ensure that the company meets all its tax obligations accurately and efficiently, while also identifying opportunities for tax optimization. • Prepare and file all corporate tax returns (including VAT, Income Tax) accurately and on time.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
• Provide tax advice and support to management and other departments.
• Identify tax planning opportunities to minimize the company's tax liability.
• Assist with tax audits and liaise with tax authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
• A professional tax qualification (e.g., Master's in Taxation, SAIT membership) is highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a Tax Specialist or in a similar tax role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex tax matters.
