Chief Financial Officer; CFO

Our client, What Jobs Direct, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA . This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, risk management, and investor relations. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy and driving sustainable growth.

• Develop and implement the company's financial strategy and long-term financial plans.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury.
• Manage financial risk, ensuring the company is protected against financial losses.
• Lead fundraising efforts and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.
• Manage the finance and accounting teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic financial transactions.
• Optimize the company's capital structure and manage cash flow effectively.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 7 years in a senior financial leadership role (e.g., CFO, VP Finance).
• Extensive knowledge of financial planning, corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in managing complex financial operations and leading finance teams.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Familiarity with capital markets and investor relations.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
• Experience working in the specified industry is a plus.
