About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled E-commerce Platform Specialist to manage and optimize their online store operations from their Upington location. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless functionality, user experience, and performance of the e-commerce platform, driving sales and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for website maintenance, product catalog management, implementing new features, and troubleshooting technical issues. Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain the company's e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce), ensuring its stability and optimal performance.
- Oversee product catalog management, including adding new products, updating descriptions, pricing, and imagery.
- Implement and configure new features, apps, and integrations to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the e-commerce platform, liaising with developers or support teams as needed.
- Monitor website analytics to identify areas for improvement in user flow, conversion rates, and site speed.
- Ensure the website is optimized for search engines (SEO) and mobile responsiveness.
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Specialist, Website Administrator, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce).
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for basic website modifications.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
