Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to manage and optimize their network infrastructure in Upington . This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting complex network solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and security. You will work with cutting-edge networking technologies, troubleshoot network issues, and contribute to network architecture planning. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with extensive experience in enterprise network environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-level network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize traffic flow and ensure high availability.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing timely support to end-users and IT teams.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and network management systems.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
