Information Security Architect

Our client is looking for a visionary Information Security Architect to design and implement robust security solutions that align with business objectives in Upington . This role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging security technologies and best practices. You will be responsible for defining the security architecture across the organization's IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking and technical design skills to build a resilient security framework.

• Design, develop, and maintain the organization's overall information security architecture .
• Define security standards, patterns, and best practices for infrastructure, applications, and cloud deployments.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the security posture.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure security is integrated into all stages of the system lifecycle.
• Develop and document security architecture blueprints and guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on security best practices to engineering and operations teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in information security , with a focus on security architecture and design.
• Proven experience in designing secure solutions for on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• In-depth knowledge of various security domains, including network security, cryptography, identity and access management.
• Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Strong understanding of risk management and threat modeling.
