Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Telecoms Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their vital telecommunications systems and IT infrastructure in Upington . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of all communication platforms, from voice systems to data networks. - Administer and maintain telecommunications systems, including PBX, VoIP, unified communications, and related hardware/software.
- Manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Provide technical support to end-users for telecommunications and IT-related issues.
- Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and security protocols.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and perform routine maintenance and upgrades.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or Network Administrator with a strong focus on telecommunications systems.
- Proficiency in managing VoIP systems, PBX platforms, and associated network configurations.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
