About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager with a focus on Supply Chain to join their team in Upington . This critical role involves managing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement to delivery, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely fulfillment of orders. You will lead a dedicated supply chain team, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
This position requires a strategic leader with extensive knowledge of supply chain operations and a proven ability to manage complex logistical challenges.
- Oversee and manage all supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Monitor key supply chain metrics and performance indicators, providing regular reports and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management and operations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
