Our client is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee their supply chain and transportation operations in Mahikeng, North West . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods, managing warehousing, and optimizing delivery networks. You will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics strategies, managing a team of logistics professionals, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and a proven ability to manage complex logistics operations within a demanding industrial environment.
- Oversee all aspects of the logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- Manage and motivate a team of logistics coordinators, drivers, and warehouse staff.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers to ensure competitive rates and reliable service.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics Management or supply chain operations.
- Proven track record in optimizing transportation routes and managing warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
