Site Sanitation Coordinator

Our client is seeking a diligent Site Sanitation Coordinator to oversee and implement sanitation protocols at their facility in Upington . This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, hygienic, and compliant working environment, ensuring that all areas meet stringent cleanliness standards. You will be responsible for managing daily cleaning operations, supervising a team of cleaning staff, monitoring the use of cleaning supplies, and ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of sanitation best practices within an operational setting, contributing directly to the efficiency and safety of the site.

• Coordinate and oversee the daily cleaning activities of the site, ensuring all areas are maintained according to standards.
• Supervise and train a team of cleaning staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
• Manage the inventory and distribution of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address any sanitation deficiencies or potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations related to sanitation.
• Respond promptly to any spillages or hygiene emergencies, implementing appropriate cleaning and decontamination procedures.

• Previous experience in a sanitation , cleaning, or supervisory role, preferably within an industrial or commercial setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in sanitation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of cleaning personnel.
• Physical ability to perform tasks associated with site inspections and occasional hands-on cleaning support.
