Industrial Engineer - Lean Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer with expertise in lean manufacturing to join their team in Upington . You will be instrumental in identifying and implementing lean principles and methodologies to drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall production performance. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with plant personnel to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Apply lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban) to optimize production processes.
• Analyze production data to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement standardized work procedures and best practices to improve workflow and quality.
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
• Train and mentor production teams on lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the progress of lean initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on lean manufacturing implementation.
• Proven track record of successfully applying lean tools and achieving measurable improvements.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and process mapping.
