Merchandising Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Merchandising Coordinator to support their FMCG brand presence in the Upington, Northern Cape region. This role is vital for ensuring products are optimally displayed in retail environments, supporting sales initiatives, and maintaining brand standards. You will work closely with sales representatives and retail partners to implement merchandising plans, manage inventory at store level, and execute promotional activities.

• Implement and maintain product displays and shelving according to company merchandising standards in retail stores across the Upington area.
• Ensure products are well-stocked, priced correctly, and attractively presented to maximize sales potential.
• Execute in-store promotional activities and point-of-sale (POS) material placements.
• Monitor stock levels at retail locations and report any issues to the sales team or management.
• Build positive relationships with store managers and staff to ensure cooperation with merchandising plans.
• Provide feedback on in-store execution, competitor activities, and market conditions.

• Previous experience in merchandising, retail support, or a related role is preferred, especially within the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and retail best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with the retail landscape in the Northern Cape region is a plus.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the assigned territory.
