About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dependable Interprovincial Truck Driver to operate heavy-duty trucks across various South African provinces, based out of Upington . This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe transport of goods to diverse locations, demanding extensive knowledge of long-distance routes and road conditions. You will be responsible for the vehicle's maintenance, accurate log-keeping, and professional conduct throughout your journeys, playing a critical part in the company's national distribution network.

The ideal candidate is self-reliant, safety-conscious, and committed to efficient long-haul operations originating from the Northern Cape.

• Operate heavy-duty trucks (e.g., flatbeds, tankers, articulated lorries) safely and efficiently for interprovincial travel.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance.
• Plan and execute long-distance routes, considering traffic, weather, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, distances traveled, and cargo details.
• Ensure secure loading and unloading of goods, preventing damage or loss.
• Adhere strictly to all national road traffic regulations and company policies.

• Valid South African driver's license with Professional Driving Permit (PDP) and appropriate heavy vehicle endorsements (e.g., Code 14).
• Minimum of 5 years of verified experience as an interprovincial truck driver .
• Extensive knowledge of South African road networks, including major highways and provincial routes.
• Proven ability to operate large trucks safely in various conditions and terrains.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills for long-haul operations.
• Must be able to pass a medical examination and background check.
