About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Delivery Team Lead to spearhead their e-commerce logistics operations in Mahikeng . This role requires a leader who can motivate a team of delivery drivers, ensure efficient parcel delivery, and maintain high standards of customer service. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, optimizing delivery routes, and ensuring the timely fulfillment of online orders.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in logistics supervision, a strong understanding of the Mahikeng area, and a passion for driving operational excellence in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of delivery drivers to ensure efficient and professional service.
- Oversee daily delivery operations, including route planning and dispatch management for e-commerce orders.
- Monitor delivery performance metrics and implement strategies to improve speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time, handling any customer issues or complaints with professionalism.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and safety standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role within logistics or delivery services.
- Valid driver's license (Code 8 or 10 preferred) and a good driving record.
- Strong knowledge of the Mahikeng region and surrounding delivery areas.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a demanding environment.
- Experience with e-commerce logistics and delivery management systems is a plus.
