Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer | Safety & Skills Coach

Our client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Driver Trainer specializing in Heavy Vehicles for their operations in Upington . This role involves educating and mentoring new and existing drivers on safe driving techniques, company policies, and operational procedures. You will be responsible for developing training materials, conducting practical driving sessions, and assessing driver competency to ensure compliance and promote a culture of safety across the fleet.

The ideal candidate has a passion for training and a deep understanding of heavy vehicle operation and safety standards.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for drivers of heavy vehicles.
• Conduct practical on-road training sessions, focusing on safe driving techniques and hazard perception.
• Assess driver performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Ensure all drivers are compliant with company policies, legal requirements, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate training records and report on driver progress and competency levels.

• Extensive experience as a professional driver of heavy vehicles (e.g., Code 14).
• Proven experience in training or mentoring drivers, with a focus on safety.
