Fleet Operations Manager

Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee their transportation fleet operations in Upington, Northern Cape . This role is responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, and utilization of the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with all regulations and maximizing operational efficiency. You will lead a team responsible for dispatch, maintenance scheduling, and driver management.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of fleet management systems, safety protocols, and cost control measures. This is a vital role for maintaining the logistical backbone of our client's operations in the Upington region.

• Manage the daily operations of the company fleet, including vehicle scheduling, dispatch, and route optimization.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance programs to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal performance.
• Manage driver performance, scheduling, and compliance with driving regulations and company policies.
• Control fleet operating costs, including fuel, maintenance, insurance, and repairs.
• Ensure all fleet activities comply with safety standards, environmental regulations, and legal requirements.
• Implement and utilize fleet management software to track vehicles, monitor performance, and generate reports.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or a related transportation operations role.
• Proven experience managing a diverse fleet of vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A valid driver's license is required.
