About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee their distribution center operations in Upington . This critical role involves managing all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory control, and outbound logistics to ensure efficient and timely product distribution. You will lead a team of warehouse staff and coordinate closely with transportation partners to maintain high levels of service and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership position focused on optimizing warehouse efficiency and supply chain flow.
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Develop and implement efficient inventory management strategies to ensure accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies.
- Oversee the performance of the warehouse team, providing training, guidance, and performance reviews.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the warehouse to maintain a secure working environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with proven leadership experience.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) , inventory control, and logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced distribution setting.
