Position: EVS Technician I
Overview

JOB SUMMARY

This EVS Technician I position is responsible for all cleaning to include, dusting, mopping, linen collection, waste removal and disposal, bathroom cleaning, and cleaning of common areas, offices, patient rooms or specialized areas as assigned. In addition, this position is responsible for collecting and disposing of linen, waste and sharps that may be contaminated with blood and other bodily fluids.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Able to understand and speak sufficient English to perform the requirements of the position.
  • Experience: Industrial, healthcare, or three years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Ability to learn and understand the importance of role in maintaining cleanliness to prevent infections and hospital acquired illnesses of patients, families, employees, physicians and others.
  • License and Certifications: None.
  • Equipment: Ability to learn to use basic cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and other cleaning supplies.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position as noted on the job description.

    • PAY RANGE

    $21.00 - $29.12

    The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
