Smart & Final is seeking a Part‑time Associate to join our Upland store operations team.

$16.50 per hour.

• Maintain assigned store section, order, receive, and stock merchandise; ensure correct pricing and product rotation.
• Store and end‑display merchandising including perishable product preparation.
• Prepare advertising/display setups and review invoices for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all store areas.
• Operate cash register, process payments, issue refunds, and verify alcohol sales as required.
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service; load purchases into customers’ vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties; record lost or damaged goods and supplies.

• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand simple written instructions and product labels.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Strong interpersonal skills for one‑on‑one and small group customer interactions.
• Common sense understanding to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Physical ability to frequently lift up to 45 lb and occasionally up to 60 lb.

• Basic PC/Outlook proficiency.
• Retail Management Certificate.
