Job Summary:
Records and prepares financial reports for assigned operational and administrative accounts within University Housing and assists with purchasing and payables. All University Housing staff will engage and contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Assist with financial reporting and ledger maintenance by posting data, preparing monthly and annual statements, and using Endeavor to create income/expense statements aligned with Banner.
- Manage and reconcile multiple income streams, including Room, Board, and Heartland/POS income, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Perform income and expense reconciliations across University and University Housing systems (Banner, Endeavor, Flex Catering, Star Rez, Heartland POS).
- Review and process purchasing requests, verify sourcing methods, prepare and approve requisitions in iBuy, manage contracts in Contracts+, and guide staff on purchasing activities.
- Support vendor payment and purchasing operations by approving Emburse and iBuy expenses, researching outstanding invoices, resolving billing issues, and monitoring payments.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- At least three (3) years (36 months) of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience, as described below.
- Work experience and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field.
- College coursework and/or training in Accounting (including 12 semester hours).
- Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals 18 months of experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals 36 months of experience.
Knowledge of university systems.
Appointment InformationThis is a 100% full‑time Civil Service 0010 – Accountant I position, appointed on a 12‑month basis. Expected start date as soon as possible after the posting close. Salary range: $54,000 – $59,000. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available. Hybrid work options may be available, with on‑site presence as needed per the University’s Workplace Flexibility policy.
