Many teaching faculty also engage in outreach, service, and administration activities. The ideal candidate would be capable of teaching a variety of foundational courses in agricultural and consumer economics. Examples include commodity marketing, futures and options, negotiation and sales, food and agribusiness management, microeconomics, and other agricultural economics courses as assigned.

Teaching faculty are voting members of the ACE faculty and have the opportunity to participate in activities related to shared governance. There are also opportunities to connect with external stakeholders in the state of Illinois. Collaborations with individuals and firms in the industries that hire ACE graduates are particularly encouraged.
