Job Summary
This position supports One Op's Military-Connected Children and Youth (MCCY) program funded by the Department of War and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture. This role leads the production and distribution of high-quality professional development programming for professionals working with military families with children. This position develops, coordinates, and implements organizational priorities and is responsible for long- and short-term planning initiatives.
Collaboration with MCCY team members, graduate students, faculty, and staff, One Op administrative staff, and Department of War (DoW) subject matter experts to develop, enhance, and promote MCCY, One Op, and Department of Special Education projects and develop relationships between the project and relevant internal and external organizations to provide continuing education credits is also required.
- Conceptualize new online educational programming and other innovative programs; identify, recruit, coordinate, and support presenters; connect with appropriate stakeholders; and carry out necessary steps to facilitate the development and delivery of programming to the target audience
- Coordinate program schedules, presenters, production timelines, logistics, deliverables, and dissemination activities for virtual professional development programming
- Develop strategies for program marketing and execution and securing continuing education credits relevant to professionals in the target audience
- Support digital engagement strategies, including social media and online platforms
- Advise MCCY principal investigator (PI) and One Op administrative leadership about innovative online educational platforms and modalities, including factors to consider in strategic decisions and timelines for new-program development
- Understand the strategic, operational, and technical needs for One Op online educational programming and guide the development of materials to support the needs of users
- Maintain current knowledge in new and emerging educational issues and continued professional development needs at the pedagogical, programmatic, and administrative levels, and advise the One Op team and DoD partners on how they can respond to strategic opportunities in these areas
- Represent the project at consortia meetings and collaborate with other similarly funded projects to advance the mission of One Op
- Coordinate the development and revision of manuscripts to support and enhance the work of professionals in special education for publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals with the MCCY One Op PI, and department faculty and graduate students
- Write and edit blog posts and other forms of web-based publications
- Develop and disseminate research-informed professional resources, educational materials, and program content to support practitioners working with military-connected children and youth
- Collaborate with department faculty and graduate students to develop, support, and contribute to new and ongoing research related to the field of special education
- Ensure compliance with research protocols and data management standards
- Develop and administer surveys; collect and manage participant and evaluation data; and maintain program evaluation records and reporting systems
- Prepare evaluation reports of project programming to be submitted to DoD partners and larger One Op administration
