Overview
The Patient Services Representative 1 coordinates and participates in a variety of duties associated with the daily clinic preparation process, including patient identification, patient check‑in/check‑out, charge posting, cash management, patient appointment scheduling, patient registration and account set‑up, and phone calls. They convey a positive image and provide information to ensure patients' needs are met.

Associate’s Degree in a related field (experience in lieu of education acceptable). - Experience:
General office equipment, basic computer skills, experience using fax machine, copier, and other general office equipment. - Proficient with insurance coverage rules, eligibility, network coverage, and benefits.
- Successful completion of mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers.
- Able to initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed.
- Coordinates and participates in the daily clinic preparation process, including patient identification, patient check‑in/out, charge posting, cash management, patient appointment scheduling, patient registration and account set‑up, and phone calls.
- Operates the telephone system and delivers messages to physicians, nurses, and others, ensuring all messages are distributed according to practice communication standards.
- Reports medical information obtained from patients and referring physicians accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
- Manages all incoming patient care requests related to in‑basket activities, referrals, work queue activity, and incoming telephone calls.
- Proficient with insurance coverage rules, eligibility, network coverage, benefits, and prior authorizations.

The compensation range for this position is $17.67 per hour – $28.63 per hour. The actual compensation offer will depend on candidate experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
