Job SummaryTrain the Pathways to Success curriculum, Managing and Adapting Practice, and other HFS‑directed clinical initiatives to community behavioral health staff and leadership. Provide ongoing coaching and support for current and new initiatives, and serve as subject‑matter expert for new service initiatives and SOC curriculum.
Duties & Responsibilities- Plan and deliver web‑based and on‑site trainings statewide for the Intensive Home‑Based service/program, its related components, tools, and necessary topics.
- Plan and deliver web‑based and on‑site trainings statewide for the Therapeutic Mentoring Service/program and its related components, tools, and necessary topics.
- Plan and deliver web‑based and on‑site trainings statewide for the integration of Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) into Systems of Care work and statewide mental health systems.
- Plan and deliver web‑based and on‑site trainings statewide for training of newly launched Medicaid services to support providers in successful development, implementation, and analysis.
- Train and provide coaching on the IM‑CANS assessment and treatment planning tool and its related components.
- Use various training, coaching, and transfer of learning methodologies to engage Medicaid‑enrolled providers in person and via webinar.
- Assess agency‑specific challenges and build strategies for effective implementation of the service/program and of Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), Solution.relationships Approaches, and MAP tools.
- Assist in the development and support of MAP‑supported users and MAP‑credentialed therapists.
- Work in conjunction with the Clinical Quality Review team to implement strategies that support the IHB and Therapeutic Mentoring service and curriculum.
- Develop on‑site and web‑based trainings on intermediate and advanced use of the functional behavioral analysis tool, solution‑focused approaches, and MAP tools and resources for effective treatment planning.
- Provide feedback to the Pathways Clinical Coordinator and SOC Coordinator as a subject‑matter expert on new services, IHB, Therapeutic Mentoring, and MAP implementation efforts.
- Perform analysis of training effectiveness as needed.
- Travel several days per week to effectuate trainings.

Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited college or university. 1–3 years of clinical behavioral health services experience. LPHA status pursuant to 89
ILAC 140.453. IM+CANS trainer level certification within 90 days of hire. MAP Instructor credential within 90 days of hire. SOC trainer certification within 120 days
040 of hiring. Illinois clinical licensure.
Experience working with CSPI, CANS, ANSA, FAST, or TCOM; experience in home and community settings providing clinical intervention; experience in training.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Self‑motivated and able to work semi‑independently to train peers in assessment and care planning. Working knowledge of change‑management strategies, training, coaching, and transfer of learning methodologies; case‑study and clinical case presentation methodologies; evidence-informed child behavioral health practices; impact of trauma on the child and family system; child and adolescent development; issues related to diagnosis and comorbidity; and other behavioral health issues.
AppointmentInformation
This is a 100% full‑time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12‑month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search posting closes. The budgeted salary range for the position is $60,000–$70,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position. Hybrid work options may be available with the ability to be on‑site as needed per the University’s Workplace Flexibility policy.
