• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (October 20, 2025 – January 17, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel RN
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,130–$2,190 per week

• Current and active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 3 years of cardiac stepdown or acute care nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

• Deliver direct patient care for cardiac stepdown cases, including post-op CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Conduct initial assessments and create individualized care plans for cardiac and vascular patients
• Implement, evaluate, and modify nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and electronic health records for all patient care activities
• Perform hourly rounding and provide proactive clinical support to patients and colleagues
• Uphold hospital and unit competencies to ensure a safe and clean healthcare environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Engage in ongoing professional development and support peers through constructive feedback
