Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a dayshift assignment in Illinois requiring EPIC and Level 1 Trauma experience.

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting (General OR)
• Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with day off to be determined
• On-call required for 2 to 3 shifts per 4-week period, including weekends and weekdays
• Care for surgical patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Utilizes EPIC for charting
• Duties include preparing OR suites, assisting with surgical procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation
• Responsible for positioning, prepping, and transporting patients in accordance with safety protocols
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• RTO (requested time off) is limited to 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Travelers cannot exceed 1 year continuously on assignment and must take a 6-month break prior to returning
• No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
• Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified

• Active Illinois RN license (or temporary IL RN license) in good standing
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• At least one year of relevant Operating Room nursing experience
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma and EPIC charting required
• ASN required
