American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) position requiring CVOR experience and Illinois RN licensure.
Requirements- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
- CVOR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience highly preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Must be comfortable floating to General OR
- Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting within a hospital surgical department
- Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, with a rotating day off
- On-call rotation required for weekends and holidays (approximately 1-2 on-call shifts per week and 1-2 weekends per 4-week period)
- May float to General OR when not needed in the cardiovascular service line
- Required to remain in the department except for breaks to ensure availability for patient care needs
- Uses Epic charting system
- Responsibilities include preparing the OR suite, patient identification and positioning, supporting the surgical team during procedures, and providing handoff to PACU or receiving unit staff
- Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies plans of care, and maintains accurate nursing documentation
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service before returning
