American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details- Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department setting
- Night shift from 3:00PM-3:00AM, 36 hours per week over 3 shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- Must be willing to float as needed
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
- Promote patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to support a healthy and collaborative work environment
- Classified as a high-risk department assignment
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Workers may not continuously be on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service
