American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• Emergency Department setting in a hospital environment
• 12-hour night shift schedule from 3:00PM to 3:00AM
• 36 hours per week across 3 days
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• Must be willing to float as needed
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required

• Provides direct patient care in a high-risk Emergency Department setting
• Performs patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Collaborates with staff, visitors, and families to promote a healthy care environment
• Contributes to the professional development of peers through feedback and knowledge sharing
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior contingent workers are limited to one year of continuous assignment before requiring a 6-month break in service
