Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown unit, requiring IL RN licensure and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• CVICU, CABG, vascular, and ICU experience preferred

• CVICU/Stepdown unit caring for post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts,
• 5-6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
• Holiday coverage by department rotation
• EPIC charting system used
• No floating required
• Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, individualized care plans, and ongoing evaluation of treatment
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and contribute to peer professional development
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and uphold unit and hospital competencies
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not work continuously at this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
