Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Cardiology

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit requiring IL RN licensure and prior nursing experience.

• Active IL RN license in good standing required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Work in the CV Med/Surg unit providing care to post-operative CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week )
• Weekend requirement of 5-6 shifts per 6 week schedule
• Holiday coverage via department rotation
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of post-surgical cardiovascular patients
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and contribute to peer professional development
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and hospital/unit-based competencies
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year before returning to any Carle Health location
