As a Senior HSE Engineer at Honeywell, you will oversee and direct the organization’s health, safety, and environmental engineering efforts, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with environmental regulations, and the implementation of best practices in engineering‑related safety.
You report directly to the Senior HSE Manager and will work out of our Urbana, OH location.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organization’s mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with local, national regulations including OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards.
- Lead company‑wide safety initiatives and ensure integration into operational planning.
- Perform safety audits and inspections to monitor adherence and identify areas of improvement.
- Ensure the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.
- Develop strategies to reduce waste, emissions, and resource consumption, aligning with Honeywell goals.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- 6+ years of experience in HSE Engineering.
- In‑depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with risk assessments and safety audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
- Passion for promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HSE engineering with organizational goals.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
