Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager | Urbana, OH
Are you a hands-on EHS professional who enjoys being out on the production floor, building relationships, and creating a strong safety culture?
We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in Urbana, Ohio seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and continuously improve site safety and environmental programs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who leads through influence, collaboration, and coaching while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
What You'll Be Doing:- Lead and improve EHS programs across the facility
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations
- Conduct audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and deliver employee safety training programs
- Manage ISO 14001 documentation and environmental reporting
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory audits and inspections
- Partner with Operations and HR to strengthen safety culture
- Support emergency response planning and preparedness
- 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations
- Experience conducting investigations, audits, and training programs
- Ability to influence, mentor, and build relationships at all levels of an organization
- ISO 14001 experience highly preferred
- CSP, CHMM, REM, or similar certifications are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
