Business Analyst

Base Pay Range

$45.00/hr - $55.00/hr

The Sr. Business Rules Analyst consults with client companies to gather business rulesets requirements to bridge the needs of the business with the use of IT. This includes determining client and organizational needs, system and operational requirements, downstream system impacts, and legal compliance obligations.

• Work with end‑users to complete business requirements for business rulesets and associated attribute development.
• Business rulesets include:
  Automated underwriting rules for new business;
  Automated Renewal Workflow rules;
  Letter of Authority rules; MVR/Driver Management rules.
• Oversee functional testing and implementation of attributes and business rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide subject matter expertise and deep functional system and product expertise, including upstream/downstream impact analysis.
• Act in a consultative role to provide resolutions to complex problems.
• Build strong customer relationships and understand how the corporation/company operates.
• Lead meetings with teams within the company and/or customers regarding projects, enhancements, and support.
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes and support ad‑hoc analysis as needed.
• Travel for this position up to 10%.

• Property & Casualty Insurance experience (commercial lines ideally).
• Understand underwriting process (and/or exposure to rules in insurance – in regards to automation).
• 7+ years of Technical Business Analyst experience.

• Unit testing experience.
