Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Impact Staffing International (ISI) is seeking a Staff Accountant (Accounting Operations) professional with experience in Accounts Receivable (A/R) to join our team in Urbandale, Iowa. This role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to manage collections, ensure timely payments, and support financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive process improvements while maintaining client relationships.

Key responsibilities include managing collections and outstanding invoices while preserving client relationships, collaborating with Cash Application and offshore Collections teams to streamline processes, and assisting in the development and implementation of process improvements for collections and reporting. Additionally, this role requires providing guidance and feedback to offshore team members, conducting analysis and reporting on past-due trends to identify risks and root causes of non-payment, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and SOX procedures.

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position. For the first 2 weeks you will go through training every day, then you will only go onsite 6 times per month after training is complete. Required Skills and Background:

• 1-3 years of experience in collections, finance, or a related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior reporting and project work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and financial analysis skills.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to drive financial improvements.
