Staff Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant I
Location: Urbandale, IA (Hybrid)

• Contract role
• Onsite training 1‑2 weeks, then onsite 6 times a month
• Remote work supported as needed during training
• Salary: $24.00 per hour

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required)
• 1‑3 years of accounts receivable, collections, or related finance experience
• Previous AR experience and handling aged invoices 500‑700 a month is a plus
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Under general supervision, collect on past‑due invoices and support client relationships.
• Collaborate with Cash Application, offshore Collections, and onshore team members.
• Assist with development, documentation, and implementation of procedures for general collections.
• Perform analysis and reporting on client trends, identify risk levels, and root causes of non‑payment.
• Provide feedback and guidance to offshore Collections team.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and SOX procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• Prior reporting or project work experience
• Attention to detail and self‑directed work style
