Join our dynamic team at Bickford Senior Living. The Medication Technician supports resident care within the branch, ensuring that residents’ daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest.

• Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure that medications are given out according to the Physician’s orders.
• Understand and follow the "Six rights of medication administration" and all of Bickford’s policies and procedures regarding medication management.
• Appropriately utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate.
• Lead by demonstrating the Bickford Mission 'Whatever it Takes' to all other team members on shift.

• Active Medication Technician certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in senior care.
• Approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to take additional training or education as required by specific states.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system for medication administration.
