The Senior Systems Implementation Engineer will be part of the IP Pathways engineering team and will participate in IP Pathways training and other company activities. About the Role:

IP Pathways is seeking a Senior Systems Implementation Engineer to join our Managed Services – Operations Team. This team is responsible for implementing, onboarding, and migrating clients into IP Pathways’ managed and cloud service platforms — including cloud, disaster recovery, backup, and managed infrastructure offerings. Beyond initial deployment, the team provides the ongoing operational care and administration of these environments, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, and high-performing through continuous monitoring, management, and maintenance.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll play a key role in:

• Lead implementation, onboarding, and migration projects across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Take ownership of the ongoing monitoring, management, and administration of client systems and services.
• Identify opportunities to automate, orchestrate, and optimize operational processes for greater efficiency and reliability.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, helping strengthen team capabilities and client outcomes.

• Onboarding and migration of client into IP Pathways’ Adaptive Cloud Cloud Infrastructure platform.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions (both third-party and in-house).
• Configure and manage Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365.
• Support the onboarding and management of client infrastructure across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Develop and improve automation, orchestration, and monitoring processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Document processes, contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to fellow engineers.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in systems administration or implementation engineering.
• Proficiency in 1–2 scripting languages such as Power Shell or Python.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of network fundamentals such as IP addressing, routing, VLANs and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, Azure, AWS) and backup/disaster recovery tools (e.g., Acronis, Veeam, Zerto).
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote monitoring tools, and managed service delivery environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to rack servers, switches, and other datacenter equipment, as needed.
• Ability to work on your feet or at a desk for extended periods of time, as needed.
